Someone just followed my private site

    I just got an email that my site has a new follower. I have confirmed that this site is marked private. So how was someone able to follow it? And how do I stop others from doing so?

    The site I need help with is worldisateaparty.wordpress.com.

    Hi, I’m not sure why you were sent another notification, but did look up the notification you received. This person followed the site more than a year ago, when it was public.

    Regardless, they cannot see the site or get emails from it if the site is private, unless they are also invited as as site member.

    Thanks for the reply. I am greatly relieved. I have another site marked private (it’s in development and not ready for public viewing) and was concerned that it could be seen.
