Someone logged in through my e-mail account.

Like i said in the Subject, someone tried to login thru my email. I don’t like someone getting into my account without my permission, if it’s e-mail or something else, i still don’t like anyone to access my account w/o my permission.

Please share more details on how you found out about this unauthorized access to your account. Also, please confirm if the site you’re reporting is amrapoetry2.wordpress.com as the site hasn’t been updated since March 2017.

I really don’t know. I received an e-mail yesterday somebody had logged into my WordPress account with an old e-mail. When i opened it, it didn’t give me any information that would be useful . It did give me a site, n’ when i opened that link, it didn’t give me information useful enough to do anything with.

Is that a different email address than the one currently associated with your account?
Regardless, can you please add that old email address here so that Staff can look into this. Type it normally and it will be redacted from public view like this (email visible only to moderators and staff), but Staff will still be able to see it.

@awmaynard802, I can see someone logged in via email. Here’s what to do:
– Secure your email address, or change it to one other people don’t have access to:
https://wordpress.com/me/account– Enable 2FA. This will disable logins via email.
– Change your password for good measure.
– Ensure your backup address and phone number are secure, up to date, and not accessible to others.
