Someone Offered to Buy My Blog

I got a curious email from someone offering to buy my blog; not because it’s interesting, but because I haven’t used it in a while.
I’m not understanding why they would want to buy it, since it utilizes my online persona (drumwild) in the name.
Of course, I’m not going to sell it. That’s ridiculous. But I am curious… IS SOMETHING nefarious going on here? Are they trying to pull some kind scam; and if so, how?
Has anyone else had this experience?

I expect what they are wanting is the URL/name of the blog and want to use it for their own purpose. We get people here saying, “I would really like this blog name/URL, but it is being used, but it seems like it has been abandoned since no one has posted on it in two years. Would wordpress please give me this abandoned blog?” and of course wordpress will not. WordPress does not delete or give away blogs that are not used or abandoned. Only the blog owner can delete or transfer it to another.

It could also be that someone is trying to establish drumwild as a trademark and would need to own the blog and the identity for that…or it could be a scam. If it asks for banking details, it is a scam. How did they offer to pay?

Just ignore him. First come, first served, and besides, there are other blog hosters out there.
