hi.
http://en.support.wordpress.com/menus/scroll down to: Adding Category Pages to Your Menu.
those are the instructions on how to categories to a custom menu that
opens as dynamic pages of relevant posts.( a page containing posts with the same categories) -

Not to worry. We were all begineers once. In the future simply use conventional captialization only and you will do fine. :)
-
A custom menu is the right thing for changing the top menu, and adding category items is the right thing if you want to link to a group of posts about a topic.

i also want to center my menu and take off the boarders that my date is sitting on. as well as where it says “leave a comment”
To center the menu in Pilcrow:
#nav { text-align: center; } .menu { display: inline-block; margin: 0 auto; }To remove the border from the bottom of post dates:
.entry-meta { border-bottom: none; }To remove the border from below where it says ‘leave a comment’:
.entry-links { border-bottom: none; } -
omg! thank you so much @designsimply i was able to center the menu bar.
but unfortunately the boarders did not come off would their be any other way?
my next question would be how would i link my custom menu to my category because i want to link a group of posts to a topic but i don’t know how to do it without it being a dropped down menu.
-
i am sorry actually the boarders did come off what did not come off was the shadows underneath them, is it possible for me to do that ?

It sure is. Try this to remove borders and background shading from dates and the links area below posts in Pilcrow:
.entry-meta { background: none; border-bottom: none; } .entry-links { background: none; border-bottom: none; } -
yeeeeyy!!! that totally came right off!
is there anything i can do about my menu ? because all i want to do is be able to put multiple post on each category in my menu but i can’t its only allowing me to post one thing. @desingsimply

i would also like to delete everything under the picture where it says leave comment there is something that tells my viewers where its filed . i would love to take that off as well along with a small cabinet that it has on the side

Multiple posts on each category? Do you mean you want to link to something like a category page or that you want to be able to add submenu items that appear in dropdown menus? Note that you can do either of those things using a custom menu.
Note that the Pilcrow theme shows excerpt on category pages (and those don’t display images) and that is not something you can change using CSS. See this category link for an example: http://purrrr.com/category/katz-rack/
-
so with this theme i cannot link multiple post to each category with images ? @desingsimply because the link you just gave me i would like for it to be just like that but only with images and when someone clicks on my top menu thats what the category katz rack should look like. or is that impossible with this theme ?

Each theme is unique. All of the themes wil let you link to a category page, but the theme you’ve picked, Pilcrow, doesn’t show images on category pages and that’s not something built into the design of the theme and you can’t change core theme functions like that one for WordPress.com themes.
If you waned to pick a different theme, I’d recommend trying out a few using the Preview links on the Appearance → Themes page. Note that you can click on a category from inside the Preview to preview how it will look with your blog data.
