Someone Posted on my Blog-NOT ME!!

I went to check my e-mail this morning and discovered a funny message from WordPress ((email visible only to moderators and staff)) that was an advertisement for a 3rd party website. I went to check my blog and discovered that SOMEONE OTHER THAN ME had posted this advertisement as a new post on my blog with my username as the author. I am the only one who has access to my blog and am the only author on my blog. So what gives? Have I been hacked? Did WordPress put this ad on my website? What’s going on?
For the record, the post was titled “Anything New?” Here is the post in question:

Thankfully I discovered this post a few hours after it got published. But now I’m worried. I’m afraid that something like this will happen again and next time the crap may be on my blog for half a day before I discover it.
Anyone know what’s going on?

In the past “hacked” has turned out to be easy to guess passwords – WordPress.com has never been “hacked” to the best of my knowledge – change your password to one that is more secure. Also check the users to make sure that a new user has not been added and also that the Post by Email has not been enabled, if you have used Post by Email then delete the old one and get a new address.

PS – use a [contact-form] for people to contact you in place of the plain email address – cuts down on the Spam you get.

I changed my password as soon as I saw this. The subject of the email said [New Post]Anything New? I am the sole owner and author of the blog and it has never had any other users. I checked to make sure no one had been added by some fluke, and so far they have not. The author of the post once it went up was my name. For the record, I have never posted by e-mail and the e-mail I have listed in my contact information is different from the email address that is attached to my blog.
I also have never had any of my posts to be sent back to me in an e-mail before. The only notifications I receive on my blog are for pending comments. This whole thing is incredibly strang and the fact that the e-mail containing the post came from (email visible only to moderators and staff) makes me think that it is a glitch. There is always the possibility that someone guessed the email address that I was provided with by WordPress for blogging by e-mail, but I don’t see how. Either way, I will turn off the feature and hope this never happens again. The last thing I want is for my readers to get the idea that I am not only posting advertisements but am advocating the messages and products from the advertisement. *shudders*
