Someone publicly posting my wordpress email address without my consent?

  Hi,
  I replied to a comment on someone’s wordpress. I had no idea the wordpress was a very aggressive right wing site until the owner posted my email address that I have this wordpress account under. When I went to my settings I saw my email address is not public. Can you tell me how this person found out my email address when I’ve published it nowhere? And can you remove it? He clearly did it so it would be found by spammers and/or so I can get hate mail. I ask you remove it as I never consented to it being made public and as you can see by searching for my email address, (email visible only to moderators and staff), it’s nowhere made public by me.

  when you make a comment the email address is one of the pieces of info that might be passed on – depends on the settings by individual blog owners – the email is not public info when it is passed – I don’t require email addresses or any personal info on my site and I would never post an address in public – since the person did it deliberately and with malice – I doubt they would be inclined to remove it

  I have flagged this for staff attention but in the past they have not been willing to remove any info from a blog for anyone

  Yeah thanks for that. I filed a complaint and someone got back to me but with no means to reply as it was with a donotreply address. Smart.

  I have also flagged this for staff attention – but they will not discuss terms of service in the forum
