Someone selling reblogs on wordpress.com

Just a concern. I went to a blog that was in the ‘recommended’ link on my dashboard and found someone making money selling reblogs. Went to the site (it’s on wordpress.com, it’s not a self-hosted blog) and there’s a similar post every few posts.This doesn’t seem right to me that someone’s making money out of reblogs, here. Yet I can’t find anything about it in the T.O.S. This is one of the posts:

while selling an article is ok – seems to me that just using a site with a lot of subscribers to send traffic off site would be a violation of the TOS for sure

Many thanks for responses and apologies for my late reply (my memory is terrible, I plead ‘getting older’.)
The original post I linked to has been removed – by WordPress or the author, I don’t know – but there’s yet another one there on 7th April 2016 with much the same content.
Well, I’ll leave it at this.

staff-doublebassd – The site in question has been selling reblogs and sponsorships all in-house, as far as I can see, i.e. for sites hosted on WordPressdotcom, for more than a year. Assuming then that the ToS people have already looked at the site and determined that this is kosher? Thanks.

As of right now reblogs are allowed but not encouraged. We’re not telling people to go out and sell reblogs, but we’re not actively suspending users who are either. There’s been some internal discussion on the issue and we would draw the line at a site that was set up solely for the purpose of posting sponsored material without any quality content. At that point, the site is considered spam and a violation of ToS.
This is the first time most of us have come across a user doing this, so it’s not big concern at the moment. If this becomes an upward trend, I’m sure an official policy will be created regarding the practice.
