SOmeone started my website and I can't find him…its causing a legal problem

There is someone that started building me a website…he’s disappeared and I am needing to get it taken down. I had sent him a list of corrections (I have the messages between us) but he never did and disappeared. I’ve not heard from him since. I also can’t reach him. I need the page taken down because it says my non profit is a 501c and its not..that is a serious issue. I can get in a lot of trouble. How do I contact WordPress to see if they can do anything to help me get it taken down. It has my pictures, info etc on it…I can prove that. Thanks! Only the admin on the account can delete or remove a site from WordPress.com. Do you have access to the user account that owns msmrescue.wordpress.com?
If you do not have access to the account, we would need one of the pieces of information listed here to help you gain access and delete the site:
If you do not have one of those pieces of information, we won’t be able to delete the site. The best thing we could do would be to set it to private. That would render it inaccessible to anyone except the site owner. It would also eventually be removed from search engines.
As an alternative, if you believe the site infringes on your copyright, you could report the site as indicated here:
Our Terms of Service team would then determine if action should be taken.

I have no access to the site..it was just getting set up and then he disappeared …I wasn’t aware it was public till recently. Please PLEASE make it private. At least then people won’t be accusing me of lying and stating I’m a 501c corp when I’m not. I own Main Street Mutt Rescue..this is not my site, not my creation and I have no access nor have I ever.

I’ve reached out to the current owner listed on the account asking if it would be alright if we set the site to private.

I have sent him a message on facebook but I don’t think he’s on anymore and I’ve not heard back. I have no other contact info for him.
Thanks for your help. I don’t need to lose my non profit status because someone posted in correctly!

The site in question has been set to private. It should eventually be removed from search engine results, but it will be unavailable to every immediately.
