someone using my email address

  Someone has signed up to wordpress using my email address therefore I can’t use that address to sign up so I had to use a different one… can this person’s account be deleted as it is using my email?

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  Staff will have to decide how to proceed and I’ve marked this for their attention, but in order for them to do so, they will need to know the email address in question. Please write it normally here and it will be redacted (hidden) by the forum software, but Staff will be able to see it.

  Is the address relative recent? If so it shows the downside of recycling names (I think some email systems allow recycling and delete your address after a certain time of non-use) – – but since you have access to the email address – you can reset the password and the account is now yours!! Which would include any blogs etc. so a certain amount of caution would be respectful of the previous owner

  Not to mention that there was most likely a welcome message sent to the email account in question when that person signed up with it.
