Something is wrong with the INSERT MEDIA window.

    there’s something wrong with th ADD MEDIA box. When I open it, the bottom half of the window gets chopped off from the screen and there’s no way to see the whole window. I can’t see the button that let’s me INSERT MEDIA. It’s very frustrating. Someone please fix it? Moderators? I’m a paying WordPress user.

    I had the same problem, but it somehow fixed itself when I refreshed my internet by getting off and going back on again. Maybe try restarting your computer and then try again? I’ve been having quite a few probs with the Media box too >.<

    If you do the full cookie dance it should resolve: log out, clear browser cache and cookies, restart computer, go back to blog. That should do it.

    It worked for me by clearing the browser cache alone. So no need to lose all the others bits if you don’t want to.

    You do this in firefox by using the Menu Tools/Clear Private Data and then making sure only Cache is ticked in the box before pressing “Clear Private Data” button.

    It would be nice if the WordPress.com did a bit of testing before dropping this nonsense on us or at least had some way of flagging up these issues. Perhaps they are deliberately culling the non-techies from their user base?

    It use to work but now when I click insert post, it freezes and does nothing.

  • semper, the uploader feature was thoroughly tested before release, and gets continual testing and regular updates. It works fine in all major browsers under normal conditions. When it fails, it fails because of something unique or specific. Most of those problems so far have been caused by browsers or proxy servers that continue to cache and run old code contrary to instructions, or by problems in certain versions of the Flash player.

    Unfortunately most of the reports we receive don’t include enough information for us to investigate.
