‘Sorry, that plan is not compatible with this site.’ – Reverting the website
-
Hello there, I was willing to switch to the Explorer tier going down from the Creator tier, but I was met with an issue of not being able to switch since the website has plugins that came with ECommerce.
I would like to revert the website to what it was before ECommerce if thats possible. Thank you.The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there!
It looks like your site has had the WordPress.com Creator plan (previously called the Business plan) for a while now. Are you sure you’d like us to remove all plugins and third-party themes from your site? Please click here and read through to understand what happens when a plugin-enabled site is downgraded to a lower-tiered plan.
We’ll proceed with the revert once you confirm that you’d like to go through with the process of reverting your site.
Feel free to let us know if you have more questions.

Hello,
Is there an option to review which plugins and themes specifically would be reverted first? That would really help. Thanks. -
Hi there,
When downgrading from the Creator Plan, all plugins and custom themes will no longer be available because they can only be used with that plan. Custom plugins and themes are not available with the Explorer Plan. So, any plugin or custom theme that you installed would be lost.
Hope that helps. -
I am ok with plugins being removed since I will be able to rework those parts.
However, will that also affect the OceanWP theme that is installed, and if yes, does that completely change how the website looks? It is really important for me to keep the looks of the website the same. Thanks. -
Yes in this case the OceanWP theme is a 3rd party theme and not offered on the Explorer plan. With that in mind, downgrading would mean that the appearance of your site would change.
When we remove the features of the Creator (prev. Business) Plan, your theme will be removed, and a default theme substituted. From there you will be able to choose any of the Free and Premium themes you see here: https://wordpress.com/themes/
Do yo wish to proceed with your downgrade? You also have the option to continue with the Creator plan, which will keep the site as-is and restore full functionality.
Let us know how you would like to proceed or if you have any questions.

Hi,
Thanks for confirming!
We’ve already downgraded your site and you can now purchase the Explorer plan from here:
Hope this helps. If you need further assistance with this, don’t hesitate to let us know! -
Hello. I really apologize for the sudden switchup.
An emergency happened and i was wondering if we could get all the settings back. That would really help. Thanks. -
Hi,
In that case, you can get all the settings back as they were by repurchasing the Creator plan and restoring a backup of your site.
You can repurchase the Creator plan from here:
After that, you can restore a backup of your site by following these steps:
Jetpack VaultPress Backup automatically saves every change and helps you get back online quickly with one‑click restores. This guide will show you how to access your site’s backups and restore your website to any previous point in time. This feature is available on sites with the WordPress.com Creator or Entrepreneur plan. If your site has one of our legacy plans, it is available on the Pro plI’d recommend restoring a backup from yesterday, February 03, 2024, to avoid all the changes from today.
Hope this helps. If you need further assistance with this, don’t hesitate to let us know!

Hey there,
I have repurchased the creator plan, although when i open the jetpack backup tab it gives me this error:Jetpack connection has failed
Jetpack is unable to reach your site Название сайта at this moment.
Please visit https://transfersil.com to ensure your site is loading correctly and reconnect Jetpack if necessary.
I have tried troubleshooting jetpack and it said everything is fine, but the error is still there. The activity log’s backup restore button is unclickable aswell so i’m not sure what to do, would love some help on this. Thanks! -
Hi,
This sounds like the Creator plan and hosting features were still setting up yesterday.
I’ve checked it and I was able to visit the backup section of your dashboard, as you can see here:

You should be able to restore a backup of your site from here: https://wordpress.com/backup/transfersil.comLet us know if you need further assistance with this, and we’ll be happy to help!
