Sorry, that site already exists!

Yesterday I changed my blog newdayatwork.wordpress.com into newdayatworknl.wordpress.com because we want a dutch blog and a international one. After that I want to create a new blog newdayatwork.wordpress for the international visitors. But now wordpress say that the site already exists. We have a lot of visitors on the url newdayatwork.wordpress.com, it’s for our business very important
Is there a solution? I want to pay for it.

During the change process, one of the options presented to you was to delete the old URL. If you clicked that option then that old URL is now gone forever. Deletion here at wordpress.com is permanent and they do not recycle site URLs.

You might be able to make a variation on that name, and then talk with staff and see if you could use the redirect upgrade to redirect all traffic from that old deleted URL to the new URL you choose, but you need to check with staff since I don’t know for sure if you can redirect from a deleted URL or not. Go to http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact/ , search for anything and then scroll to the bottom and click “no” and the contact form will then appear.

My feeling is that all the reasons they give for not allowing reuse of a deleted URL also apply to redirecting from a deleted URL. newdayatwork, can you let us know what the staff say please?
