"Sorry, There Was a Problem Following (URL) Please Try Again." – HELP please

  • Unknown's avatar

    Hi

I was suddenly not able to follow blogs anymore… (I was trying to follow 100+ blogs in a day)

Googled and realized that there is a WordPress Follow Limit and i have triggered some kind of block meant for preventing spamming.

My bad. Can you help me out here, please

Some context would help, i hope

We were trying to create a system of Learning Portfolios for Medical Graduates using the WordPress platform – and it seems to be coming up well, actually.

The thing is, i *need* to follow about 150 grads (the batch strength per year).

Would be great if you can advise me on how i can do this without triggering the follow-ban… Like, 50 follows/day would be allowed? 100/day?

I need to do such a follow-fest only once a year (when graduates start their blogs at the start of the academic year)

Your help would me most appreciated.

  • Hello there,

    Many thanks for reaching out.

Is there a site in particular you’re looking to follow so that I can test the ability to follow please?

To help minimise any triggers, you may wish to consider building the followers over the course of a number of days, in smaller batches.

I hope this helps thus far.

    Hi there

Sorry, i kind of lost this thread … lol. Found it again now.

Good to hear from you guys

Here is one of the sites i was not able to follow earlier –

I am not sure if you already reversed something there – but i am able to follow now!! Thanks either way

Will surely take the advise regarding following in smaller number over a period.

    Thanks again
