Hi there,

I’m just trying to upload a .jpg on a page… new to this but I am building an artist site and I want to be able to add images in a gallery. Keep getting this error – ‘Sorry this file type is not permitted for security reasons.’ I cannot use .tif and I also tried .png and got the same error with the latter. Any idea why this is happening? Very frustrating. Could this be a theme error?

Hi,

The site is http://margotklingender.com/drawings specifically, but I was generally just trying to add pages and then a gallery within each page for images.

Hi Margot,

I just uploaded a test jpg to your account and it went up just fine. We do have some security measures in place that scan for malicious code, so if there’s any possibility that files on your computer have been compromised, then you could be getting this error. You may want to try uploading any other images from another source and see if they upload OK. It may be a problem with the images which you’re trying to upload.
