I am using the standard defaulttheme with widgets. I am just setting up my blog and getting used to what to do and how to do it.
I went to wigets and dragged a few box.net, meebo, archives and recent posts

When I view the “beginnings of my blog page, then on the right a box appears with
“Sorry, this folder is no longer accessible ” then at the bottom it says powered by BOX.
I don’t have a clue what is going on can anyone help? thanks

BTW, I just discovered when I click on the Powered by BOX, I get a message from Box.net.

that is an “About Box.net” I do have an account set-up with box.net. so not certain if there is another step I need to go through

Is your blog hosted here at WordPress.com, or is it an independent WP blog?

    It is hosted at wordpress.com

Can you give us a link to the blog? Does the error message appear on the main blog page, or just on the Presentation Widgets page?

The error message says that the box.net folder is not accessible: did it ever show some content? Do you have a folder/file in your box.net account at all?

Yes, I have files in a folder in box.net
When I dragged the box.net widget into my side bar, I didn’t see anyway to make the direct connection between box.net and my wordpress blog. I “assumed that the code in the widget would give me an initial baseline for somehow setting up the connection. I clicked on the widget (box.net) etc. and it didn’t give me anything like that.

I don’t know if I need to go to box.net and do some kind of “pointing”

Click on the little icon on the right end of the box.net widget while at presentation > widgets and you can enter the information. Make sure and close the widget (X at top right of widget edit box and click “save changes” after entering the information.

Thanks. Tired that – it didn’t change things. The only thing I could do there was change the size of the box.
I tired loggin into box.net. That didn’t make a difference. Went to options to “sign on to box.net sites they work with. So signed onto the WordPress.Com option. That also didn’t change anything. Tried various changes and allowances for the box.net folder at my box.net account. Still nothing seems to change anything.
    Still get the same message.

OK, I finally got it. Here is how to do it
    Go to box.net’s help.
    Go to common technical questions
Click on How do I embed the widget into my site
Choose WordPress (it opens a self generating code box to create and customize
NOTE If a person chooses Box.Net under widgets in their Widget options on WordPress.com, it gives the embedded code that generates the problem I ahve been trying to resolve So going to the links via Box.Net a correct version can be had at Box.Net help- widget embed section
It then says (gives other options to choose (i.e. other sites)
    Wordpress.com
    1. Go to http://box.net/widget/wordpress
    2. Select some files you’d like in your widget, and enter an email address and password
(you can use these to log into box.net at a later time)
    3. Select ‘Upload’
    4. Customize the widget to your liking, then copy the given code.
    5. Log into wordpress.com, click the ‘My Dashboard’ link at the top, then the ‘Presentation’ tab.
    6. Click the ‘Sidebar Widgets’ sub-tab
    7. Drag the “Box.net Widget” to your sidebar, and click the icon to the right
    8. Copy and paste the html code you got when you made your widget, and click ‘Save Widget’

Hope this helps some others make it easier for them.
    Everyone THANKS for your efforts.
