SOS! Can't get into company website!!

New to our company and have been put in charge of running our website. No one knew how to access it from the back end or who originally made it or really anything useful at all. Eventually figured out that it’s a wordpress, which is great because I have experience creating and running a wordpress site, but I’ve run into a MAJOR problem. I have been getting regular inquiries through our contact form that goes directly to my email (marketing), but when I try to log in to wordpress with that email, the account that comes up is totally blank with no websites set up. Looks like a dummy account the owner created and then abandoned. I KNOW that the website is connected to this email, so how is this possible? I thought there is only one account allowed per email. How can I fix this and get into our actual site???

It’s hard to say without knowing your site URL, but it’s possible that your site is self-hosted WordPress and not hosted at WordPress.com. If that’s the case, logging in to WordPress.com isn’t going to give you access.
What happens if you go to [yoursite.com]/wp-admin/ ?
