SOS! Domain expired – need access to site content

    Hello, please help!

    My site domain expired and was purchased by a secondary party. I’ve been unable to re-purchase it, and lost access to all the content I’ve created on wordpress for the site.

    I need backend access to the images, text, and proprietary information I built on wordpress.

    Can you help me?

    Hi there:

    To avoid confusion, there are three different “WordPress” at play here:

    1. The free, open-source WordPress software which powers your website.
    2. WordPress.org which is the open-source project that works on the WordPress software and where you can get the software for free to use on your own hosting provider.
    3. WordPress.com which is a managed hosting provider of the WordPress software and with whom you’re contacting now.

    I’m showing the domain gallery.com has been owned by the Kodak corporation since 2005, so I’m not sure that’s the correct domain. Also, I don’t see that you have any WordPress.com-hosted sites under your @jamielange3 account, so we’re limited in what we can help with and advise.

    What was your full site URL? Once we have that information, we’ll be better able to advise and point you in the right direction to get help.
