sos – imbalance2 need help showing image thumbnails on homepage

hello
just switched to imbalance2 and would like to show an image thumbnail with each post heading on the homepage (like I see all the lovely other people have) so when you hit my site you see wee pics with the headings of the posts and it makes it more enticing to click into one………but for the life of me cannot figure out how to do it.
please direct :-)

Please post an active link starting with http:// to the blog in question. The thumbnails are actually Featured Images.
The theme optionally allows you to promote sticky posts as featured posts and display them below a post in single view.

Hopefully Timethief’s explanation will give you the info you want. But in case you need a little extra help, I use imbalance 2 and it’s simply a matter of putting an image into your post as usual and then – when it’s there – clicking the ‘featured image’ module in your post editor and choosing the image from the gallery.
