Please click on my above blog.

I am trying to embed a soundcloud player in my blog. I am able to see the player, but it does not play on Chrome. It plays on IE. I even selected the HTML 5 option on soundcloud setting the refreshed the page. I even read the applied the rules there. No luck :(

Still the player is not playing. Can you please help me in solving this issue?

    Thanks

    Hi there!

I just tested playing your file in Chrome for both Windows and Mac and it plays properly. Are you not able to click “play” in Chrome or does the player not show up at all?

If you still have this problem can you let me know what version of Windows and what version of Chrome you’re using? Also, please take a screenshot of what you see on that page so we can get a better idea of what is going on. This page has some helpful tips for taking screenshots:

Let me know if you have any questions!

    Hi csonnet,
Thank you very much for the prompt reply.

I am using Windows 7 and Chrome Version 26.0.1410.43 m

Please find the link for the screenshot.

Once I click the play button, it does not play.

I even enabled the HTML5 option in the soundcloud page.

After I uploaded this file on soundcloud and clicked “share”, it gave me this url to embed in my page, which I did.
    [soundcloud url="http://api.soundcloud.com/tracks/87201342" params="auto_play=false&show_artwork=true&color=ff7700" width="100%" height="166" iframe="true" /]

But if I change the iframe to “false” then the play button works on Chrome, but again, I see no picture which I uploaded along with mp3 file, when I use iframe=”false”.

Now I have made iframe=”true” and took a screen shot to show that it does not work.

    Thanks again for your help!

Thanks for that information. I tested your site again in Windows 7 with that same version of Chrome and it plays fine for me.

It seems there’s something happening on your machine – specifically what might be the issue is that you might have some conflicting Flash updates in Chrome. Chrome by default has Flash integrated and each update to Chrome also adds the most recent version of Flash. If you’ve installed Flash separately – like for IE – it could also be installed for Chrome, so the two versions might be in conflict with each other.

    See this documentation for details:
    http://support.google.com/chrome/bin/answer.py?hl=en&answer=108086

You will need to check and disable the second instance of Flash – that should take care of it. If it doesn’t – I recommend uninstalling and reinstalling Chrome.

Let me know if that helps.

    Thanks a lot csonnek.

Yes, this is exactly I was doing today morning. When I disable the flash in chrome, it started working. As you said, there is some conflict in the way flash was installed on my machine. Let me try find the second flash and also try to uninstall chrome/flash and reinstall.

Thanks again for your help! I really appreciate it.
