Hi,
The following support document has detailed instructions for how to embed audio with the SoundCloud Audio Player: https://en.support.wordpress.com/soundcloud-audio-player/
-
Thank you. I followed those instructions to the letter and the only thing that showed in preview and published was the text of the code.
-
Can you try again so that I can see? Also, let me know where you try to embed it so I can find it.
-
Is funkflowradio.wordpress.com the site you need help with? There’s no user created content on that site, which looks like it was just registered today.
-
I’ve already cancelled my paid subscription and I don’t have a screenshot. But this is what I see after I paste and publish or preview the code into my web page.
[soundcloud url="https://api.soundcloud.com/users/110570068" params="color=00cc11&auto_play=false&hide_related=false&show_comments=true&show_user=true&show_reposts=false" width="100%" height="450" iframe="true" /]
No media player.

Very strange, I copied and pasted your code as well as the example on the support guide and both are displaying on my test site. (temp screenshot)
Can you please publish a test post on your site with your code so we can see it?

Thanks once again. Wow. I can’t imagine what I did wrong. I suppose I won’t be able to try it again until I upgrade. I was using the GoDaddy WordPress website builder. I got frustrated and cancelled the product. Their help desk is worthless when it comes to WordPress, unless I pay a minimum of $80 to consult with one of their WordPress Pro’s. They sell it but they won’t support it.

You don’t need to upgrade a WordPressdotcom site to embed from SoundCloud
Is it possible you are talking about a self-hosted site using the standalone WP (org) software. If so, you’re posting in the wrong forum. :)
