Source incoming links from all sites

    A number of websites link to my blog but none of them are being shown in the incoming links section of my stats. I understand that this is because the incoming links are sourced from Google Blogs and that Google Blogs is a bit variable as a source. But even when Google Blogs works as it should, it only shows links from other blogs. This is treating blogs as a kind of sub-genre whereas I would have thought that a link from a mainstream site would be an equal performance measure. Yahoo Site Explorer gives a pretty good result. it shows what directories the blog has been indexed in, links from other forums (not blogs) and links from sources like WorldCat or Libraries Australia that indicate a blog is being taken seriously as a source of information or part of a nation’s documentary heritage.
