source of pingbacks

    I receive notifications requesting that I “approve” a pingback. But there appears to be no way to see the source of the pingback. How do I find out who linked to a piece on my site that generated the pingback???

    Hi Don,

    Pingbacks are treated as a special type of comment in WordPress. You can see information on Pingbacks in your blog dashboard’s Comments settings.

    When you visit that page, you’ll see all your blog’s comments (included pingbacks.) The leftmost column is labelled “Author,” but for pingbacks this will contain a link to the site that created the pingback.
