Space between text and image??
-
When an image sits on the sides of your text, it helps to have space between the text and the image so the words aren’t right up against the edge. But there isnt any space between it. it looks really horrible to have the text but right up against the image, and is hard to read, too. Does someone know what to do, here? How to solve this problem?
Thanks -
Do a google search for the following: images text HTML.
Some of those search results can explain to you how to text wrap and leave a bit of space between the image and the text.

You have to use the HTML editor…
<img src="http://image.url/here.jpg" hspace="5" vspace="5" border="0" alt="" /> -

I have the same problem, tried to insert the code and it doesn’t work. Ialso have the regulus template. The only way I get good space around images in my posts is when I blog a photo from my Flickr photo blog. So now I add images from there. The auto code Flickr inserts is annoying but managable now I know how to deal with it. And i get well placed images.

I have a regulus blog too. Have you tried turning off the text rich editor and simply using your space bar?
-
you can already have the option of creating space beside the pics.
Click the image and go to the image edit icon. There’s an option for horizontal and vertical space… put a pixel value for that.

Turning off the rich editor does nothing. The HTML tags are there. It has to be something in the Regulus template that is stripping them out.

Thanks for the heads up Vivian. Have you reported this through feedback? I just put it in the what do you want to see fixed thread.:)

I was hoping that someone with more ability than I (no offense to the posters here) would take a look at it and verify it before I sent it. drmike seems to see things in the formatting of the theme that I don’t even pretend to understand and I thought he might see this thread and look at the coding to see if he saw it being stripped out.

OK, I’m at a loss on this one. Vivian, I hate to say it but putting in the space works for me.
I tried it a couple of times as I had a couple of ideas:
Just the thumbnail with no link
Doing a link offsite
And uploading the picture and doing everyhting else one normally goes thru to insert a picture.
The buffer stayed for all three of them. I was on Regulus and using the Rich Text editor as well.
What I would do is just manually stick the bits that you would need in there is you have to. In this case:
vspace=”10″
hspace=”10″Not sure why it’s not working for you. Wish I could help,
