I want to reduce the amount of space between the widgets. I find there is too much. dead space. I’m currently using the Truly Minimal theme.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hello! I see you’ve switched to Garland. I hope you’re happy with the theme adjustment. If you have any questions, or wanted to go back to Truly Minimal and address the widget spacing, I’m happy to help! Wishing you the best.

thanks, Robyn. I’m creating an updated website on the truly minimal theme, so the space between widget issue is still very relevant. Since my initial request for assistance, I’ve now run into a second situation where one widget runs into the next one without any division at all. The site I’m working with is http://winekitzottawa.wordpress.com/.
I appreciate your help.

Hi there,
To reduce the space between your widgets, you will need to use custom CSS.
You can add this to your css to modify the padding of the widgets. The following would remove all padding; you can increase the top and bottom padding (the 2 zeroes) until it suits you.
.sidebar-left .widget {
padding: 0 19px 0 5px;
}Beyond that, if you need more assistance with your CSS, I’d recommend that you post in the CSS Customization forums, https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization . We have some excellent staff and volunteers who live and breathe CSS in that forum. :)

Thanks Jackie. Much appreciated. I will start lurking in the CSS customization forum as I work my way through this project.

They really are great in that forum, so you can both get some direct assistance but also learn a lot about CSS in general. :)
