Space Upgrade

  Hi,

  I wanted a space upgrade of 10GB but I could not. I have been doing this for the last 2 years but I can not find this option now. I do not need the $99 premium upgrade. I just needed more space. Is space upgrade not available anymore?

  Hi @inigobautista – The only way to increase the storage on your blog is to upgrade your plan. The Premium plan is $99 annually and will add 10GB of storage. Here’s more information on that: https://en.support.wordpress.com/space-upgrade/

  You can always request a refund if you decide that you don’t love the upgrade. You have 30 days to request a refund of the Premium Plan. More information on refunds can be found here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/refunds/

  Oh, just remember, that if you remove any files from your media library they are also going to be removed from their location within the blog (ie posts, pages), and a broken image icon will be found in their place.

  Hello,

  I have a different problem. I paid for premium account, or I think I was. I assumed it was premium, as I have to pay a certain amount of money to hold on to my domain every year (I have that fancy personalized domain and etc).

  The last time I checked though, my plan is FREE, and that I only got 3 GB of space. I look for explanations from wordpress emails and in my personal accounts, but couldn’t understand what is really going on. What is really am I paying for every year if I didn’t get to use the 10 GB of space? Only for the personalized domain?

  Sorry for the long post. Maybe someone can explain this, please.

  Hi @indriyad – You can purchase a custom domain and not have the Premium Plan. That is, you may still use your free plan and also have a custom domain.

  Owning a custom domain does not increase the storage space on your plan. The only way to increase storage is to upgrade your plan to Premium.

  Thank you so much for replying. I am a bit disappointed. I thought paid custom domain will have a bit more space than the free ones.
