space used

    Hi there,
I have just renewed by plan from free to personal for my old blog, because I realized it keeps getting a lot of traffic although I havent worked on it for the past three years.
My question is, when I create a post it keeps saying that there is not enough space for uploading text or images to the page. Where do I see how much space I have used over the years.
I already have a premium plan for another blog/homepage, is it correct that each blog/homepage needs its own plan?
Because I would prefer not to have two premiumplans.
    Thank you for your answers.

    Hi there,

You can see your remaining storage space by going to Media in the left sidebar of your site dashboard. The storage space indicator will be in the upper right corner of the page.

A WordPress.com plan you purchase will be valid for one site only. You can have as many sites on the same WordPress.com account as you want, but a plan will need to be purchased for each site separately. They don’t have to be the same plan, though. So you can choose different WordPress.com plans for different sites depending on their needs.

    Hope this helps!

  • Hi there,

@venkateedara already explained where you can see your blog’s storage space and that for each blog, you’ll need a separate plan. Now let me explain why you can’t upload any more files to your Media Library.

I’ve checked into your account and noticed that last year you had a monthly Premium plan for your blog, during which you utilized a significant portion of the storage space available on that plan. You uploaded close to 9 GB of content to your Media Library.

When your Premium plan expired, and your blog reverted back to the Free plan, none of your files were deleted. However, since the Free plan comes with limited storage, no new files could be uploaded.

When you upgraded to the Personal plan, your storage increased to 6 GB. Unfortunately, as your existing files already exceed this capacity, there isn’t sufficient room to add new content.

The only solution is to upgrade to our Premium plan. It offers a generous 13 GB of storage space, which should be more than sufficient for your blogging needs. Plus, it comes with many additional features that you might find useful compared to the Personal plan. These include advanced design tools, Google Analytics integration, and access to our email and live chat support.

I hope this clears up the confusion around the storage issue. If you have any other questions or need further assistance, please feel free to ask. We’re here to help.
