-
I have been adjusting the spacing between widgets in the sidebar but do not know enough about coding to get the exact code I need. help!
I have changed the padding size and gotten the desired results while inspecting the elements. I just can’t get the code right to make the actual change.

I see this image https://thepeopleequationxl.files.wordpress.com/2018/01/cropped-stock-photo-crowd-at-concert-summer-music-festival-709439296.jpg which is under copyright and must be purchased if you wish to use it at all.
Provided you have purchased either a Business Plan or Premium plan you for a WordPress.COM hosted site you can edit the CSS. https://wordpress.com/plans/ But do read Note 2 below.
Note 1: If you have the required upgrade you can use this link https://en.forums.wordpress.com/forum/css-customization#postform so you can create a thread that will appear in the CSS Forum where you will get the help you need with CSS editing.
Note 2: You can also post there prior to purchasing an upgrade to get an answer to whether or not what you want to do can be accomplished via CSS editing.

P.S. Every theme has a detailed theme description page. See https://wordpress.com/theme/karuna and note that’s where set up instructions for it, the features of it, and the live demo site link is found.
