Spacing problems – Published doesn't look like dashboard

This is the second time I have been unable to edit spacing. I copied links to follow my article and they were not spaced on my published version the way I had spaced them on the draft. I tried to fix it via edit, and nothing changed, added paragraph returns didn’t show up.

I had another problem last week when I copied a post from Facebook and was unable to alter the spacing; I assume that there are hidden macros that I don’t know how to delete. But that doesn’t explain the problem I had with info not taken from another site.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Blog editors and word processors are not the same and do not work the same way. The web standard is one blank line only, so you cannot add more blank lines by pressing return repeatedly like you would do with a typewriter or in a word processing application. If you want to learn how to format and space your posts and pages see: http://en.support.wordpress.com/writing-and-formatting-poetry/

If you are working in the Visual editor, to get single spacing between paragraphs hold the SHIFT key down and simultaneously click ENTER at the end of the paragraph.

If you are working in the HTML (Text) editor, a single click of ENTER will give you a single-spaced line, and two clicks of ENTER will result in double spaced lines.

P.S. When you create a new post, always make sure the Format tool is set to Paragraph before you start typing. It’s in the Visual editor Row 2 first position “style”. See the illustration here http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#row-2 If you forget to do that then edit the post, highlight all in the Visual editor, select Paragraph from the Format tool, switch editor to Text then switch back to Visual and click Update.

Also for copy and pasting you need to use the correct icons in the editor Paste as Plain Text http://en.support.wordpress.com/visual-editor/#pasting-text
    Paste from Word http://support.wordpress.com/microsoft-word/

Please be sure you have enabled this setting here > Settings > Writing > Formatting

Thanks. I am so hopelessly tech challenged. I know the problem is because I copied items from another format, and I assume it took the formatting with it, not just the words, and it was not possible to change the format in the dashboard editor as it did not carry over to the published product.
