I think I am getting hits on my blog that are not real, i.e. they are repetitive views to one specific post or one specific photo. It seems really subtle sometimes, but the same post will be hit over and over again by the same country. Just wondering if that is what it is, or how I can tell if it is real or if there is any way to stop it.
thank you!

Hi there!
It’s certainly possible that you have spam referrers, which aren’t actually real visits to your site. You can read more about how to block those here:
However, it’s also entirely possible that a certain blog post of yours became popular with search engines. It looks like the majority of hits are on your blog post “the dive log…a vanishing art?” It’s not uncommon for visitors to find your site and either visit it several times or tell their friends about it. For now, it looks like you have normal fluctuations in traffic so I don’t think anything is amiss. However, if you notice huge fluctuations (1,000 views or so), please let me know!
