  I am new to this blog and trying to keep it updated now, why am I seeing that I have spam? and how do I get rid of it?

  Hi Jennifer,

  It’s perfectly “normal” to receive spam comments on blog posts. It’s just another form of spam, like the spam e-mails that you receive every day.

  Spammy comments should simply be marked as spam, unless they’re already marked as spam. Mistakenly labeled comments should be marked as non-spam.

  There’s no way to get rid of them, but you can minimize the amount you see by adjusting the discussion settings: http://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/
