Spam?

I am sure someone knows what this is, I am still new to the technical side of blogging. I checked my spam and there was a comment with the title of my blog in brackets- when I clicked the link it was an exerpt from one of my posts and had a link to my blog- The site looked spammish but I was just wondering how and why do they do that? Is there a name for it?

It’s called a “scraper blog” or “autoblog”.
It’s sole purpose is to copy your content and run ads. They’re run by spammers who are too lazy to write their own content.

Actually, you should be very careful about those sites. If they are copying your text and photos, then sticking Google Adsense around them, they are trying to make money off YOUR work for very little effort.
If you see this happening, you can get Google to suspend their Adsense account. Here’s how:
