  Hi. I keep getting hits on my blog every day by a site with a link which is something like, ‘monitoring your success key words’ or something, based in Brazil, I think. Am sure it is spam. Would like to stop this happening. Does anyone know how I can do this?

  Timethief, that only stops the referrer being shown on the stats page. It does not stop bots from that site viewing the blog and clicking away immediately, which is what it does to adversely affect SEO. Is its SEO shenanigans a threat?

  I have the same problem. And it’s becoming a bigger problem. When you have a small blog you work hard on and about to get 100 fake hits from a spam referral site and will soon be in the hundreds when not taken care of, it is depressing. I emailed wordpress but I was ignored. I don’t want to just “hide” it from my list. Please, can someone help. How do you block “free video tools”, “keywords monitoring your success” and all the others that will pop up? :(
