Hello, I keep getting suspicious notices on my blog. One of them was a comment that kept repeating itself using different email address and names. Today I received 2 notifications on a comment from 2013. I marked it as spam. Is there some way protect my WordPress sites better? I changed my password. Thank you for your help!

The vast majority of all comments submitted to WordPress.COM sites daily are, in fact, spam. That is why I moderate comments on my site.

Spam is annoying, so I definitely understand. Let’s try a few things.
WordPres.com sites are protected by Askimet, so most spam is caught, but if some gets through, you may want to add a few keywords, email address, etc. to your Comment Blacklist. This will walk you through doing so: https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/#comment-blacklist
You may also want to close comments on older posts by following the steps here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/#other-comment-settings. I normally close comments after 30 days on my posts.
You may also want to enable comment moderation. You can learn more about that here: https://en.support.wordpress.com/settings/discussion-settings/#comment-moderation
This should help!
