  One person put 2,500 spam items on my blog in just one day. What happened to Akismet protection, and how do I delete all that spam quickly?

  If those spam items are in the spamfilter, it means Akismet did his job.

  I’ve been getting 100-200 spam comments a day for CBD from a Russian ISP since Jan 24-25.

  They were going straight to the spam filter (thanks to askimet) but emptying that every day is still a PITA…

  I discovered we can block comments and ISPs (I forget how, it’s somewhere in our settings) and I blocked these ISPs:

  5.188.210.62 4-6-7-8-9-70

  Now they go directly to trash, but I still have to empty the trash.

  WP should just block them period!
