Spam?
-
I saw a blog post as a referrer in my stats. To quench my curiosity I clicked the link, which was a post about infinite scroll. I went through the whole post and looked all around but I didn’t find any link to my blog there. Then I assume it to be a new form of spamming. I can post the link here. How to discourage this new form of spamming?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

The best way is not to give in to your curiousity! Just look at the referrers with interest, but don’t click them. Look at this:

I always do this. But today I have a unique referrer. A blog of well known person there. So I did click it.
Please, do not post about Referrer Spam to the forums, as we don’t want to provide any further publicity for the spammers.
So I’m going to contact support directly. But still this will be of no use, cause
Due to the volume of Referrer Spam reports, there is a strong possibility that we may not reply
So I’m sure I’m going to be unnoticed.

Please don’t say “Please” I’m going to contact staff. Thanks for wasting your tome :D lol
Thanks -
@hnsaifi “there is a strong possibility that we may not reply” does not mean that you will be unnoticed simply that they might not reply! :)
We all mean well, by the way. Nearly everyone in the forums including myself and Timethief (who is one of the most experienced WordPress users you’re likely to find) are volunteers. We each have our own ways of writing and offering help, try not to take it personally.

Oh never mind. I know timethief well.
(See here what my fellow author wrote about her and other volunteers http://itspak.wordpress.com/2012/01/04/best-of-twenty-eleven-a-review/)
BTW I always try to help more than asking for help which I do. I wrote this to staff and they’ve replied me as well. :) -
I wondered about questionable referrers as well. Two came up that I think are suspicious:
