  I am getting ping backs that is smear material and that registers as coming from my own blog. How could someone do that?

  Can you be a little more specific?
  Are the pingbacks coming from your own blog, or is it -content- that has been swiped from your blog that someone else is linking back to you via pingback?

  And are you on a wordpress.com blog?
