  I’m getting a ton of spam on my blog. The akismet spam filter doesn’t seem to be working on kherbert.wordpress.com. Is there a way to add something so bots won’t keep spamming my sites. I have student blogs on the site so this is very important.

  Make sure you are not just deleting spam comments. In order for akismet to learn, you must mark spam as spam. Also keep in mind that when you look at your list of spam, your readers don’t see that: only you can (so that if akismet accidentally spams a comment you can un-spam it).
