Is it possible to install a captcha on a specific page/form of the blog, or is it just for comment boxes?

Our blog use to have a page named comments and help forms. This page has since been removed but still exists (I do not wish to destroy the forms for possible future use).

The pages allowed visitors to use forms to send questions directly to our email adress. But due to spam-mails, we were forced to remove the forms. It stopped the spamming for a while, but has now started again even though the pages are not accessible to the public.

I wish to know if it is possible to add a “captcha” plug-in on these specific forms (I do not wish to install it anywhere else on the blog). That would surely stop the spamming which seems to generate from bots. Is it possible to add coding or a plug-in to a specific page of the blog?

    Thanks.

The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  • It appears that the page is still public and available, even if it is not linked from your site currently.

However, you can set the visibility of that page to “private” by following the instructions in the following support document:

    http://en.support.wordpress.com/pages/page-visibility/

To answer your question about the captcha, it is not possible to add a captcha to a WordPress.com contact form.
