spam and malware

  A company called Site Lock contacted me and said I have malware on my site http://www.anunscriptedlife.com and will be blacklisted. They want me to pay them $200 now or $50/month to fix the problem. My blog is small but very important to me. I don’t have the funds to pay them. Is my site doomed? They said they work for you.

  The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

  If you don’t have a username account at WordPress.ORG click http://wordpress.org/support/ and register one on the top right hand corner of the page that opens, so you can post to the support forums there and receive advice from WordPress.ORG bloggers.

  You mean you were contacted by an extortionist who is attempting to take advantage of your lack of technical knowledge. We don’t normally answer questions relating to WordPress.ORG blogs in these WordPress.COM forums, but yeah, there IS a problem with your blog, it takes forever to load, and no, you should NOT pay these guys to fix it. You should get competent tech help from your web host or google for solutions to speed up how fast your blog loads, and you should install the plugin Exploit Scanner to make sure you’re safe.

  Ah, then the problem is probably just that you are using very large images, or are on a slow server. So, no big deal at all.
