@sstpmutualaid there isn’t a way to turn it off, but if you’re getting false positives we can help “train” it to not catch those. Can you share more details?

We have a form where people can request aid from our mutual aid group. When I just discovered that there’s a spam box for “feedback”, I saw there were three messages in it. Two were genuine spam about SEO. The third was a message on May 28th from someone who we’ve helped before. I just checked again and the same person has another message in the spam filter from June 4th and the previous one was back there again. I had pressed “not spam” on the May 28th one and it still sent the subsequent one to spam. How (else) can we train it?

Hi there,
It can be the case that you may need to mark form responses more than once in order to avoid false positives like this. I did not see any responses in your spam when I checked, did you already mark it as not spam?
If this happens again can you let us know so we can take a look while it is still in the spam folder? Thanks!

I’m sorry, I didn’t realize you needed to see them still in the spam. It’s the two messages from the same person, now in our main feedback folder, with timestamps May 28, 2022 at 1:47 am and June 4, 2022 at 12:38 am. Are you able to see them?
Thanks for your help! -
Hi there,
Yes, I can see those messages. I suspect they were marked as spam because they contained a single word in the main body of the message. Single-word messages are usually considered spam.
The more of their messages you unspam, our filter will be trained and will not mark any of their future messages as spam. So, I recommend periodically keeping an eye on the spam tab.
