spam blog leads to phishing site
-
The user, [redacted], is posting brief popularly tagged tidbits and embedding a video which opens a youtube.com window. This is not actually youtube.com and the site downloads something to the computer automatically. Luckily, I have a Mac, so I’m pretty sure nothing was damaged and I deleted the file easily. Do not click links from this blog. WordPress.com should remove this blog from their site, and investigate the IP of [redacted] if at all possible.

If you are signed into your wordpress.com account you have the navigationbar at the top of every page. If you come agross a spam or similar blog, look on the top right –> Blog info. Select ‘report as spam’ and fill out the brief form with your reason.
That way staff can deal with it.
Hope this helps.

We catch and block most of these before anyone sees them. carlconway is correct, they are dangerous. If you find any please report them as suggested above. Please don’t identify them on the forum — anything that might encourage someone to go look at them is bad.
We know who they are. The IP is a dead end unfortunately.
