  I don’t understand.

  WHAT on EARTH are spammers thinking about….? I mean – why do others create a blog, and spam-comment on mine by copying the post? What do they gain?

  My last post yesterday was a fairly ok tip… this morning ( it’s 7:37am as I write this ), the first spam-comment on that post was in. And it’s actually another WP-blog – with ONE post – an exact copy of mine, with a link to my blog…. what on earth is going on?

  Can somebody please tell me the motivation behind this? I must be dumb….

  The other day here on the forum someone said that with self-hosted blogs that do this, many of the owners might not even know because the package they bought of an already set up website might have the aggregator already set up to help monetize that person’s new website.

  I really dislike spam posts. The owners of such sites “might not even know” what’s going on, but they’re responsible for the actions of the people they hire. A brothel owner doesn’t do what the ladies do, but he’s running the operation.

  I think they are trying to get the back link to their url
