Spam comments

    Hi,
    I’ve had a bad problem with spam comments recently. I’ve received three to five comments on my blog, with a similiar message as follows:

    Hello my name is Britney and I just wanted to drop you a quick message here instead of calling you. I discovered your Siege and Storm | Of Pens and Paper page and noticed you could have a lot more visitors. I have found that the key to running a successful website is making sure the visitors you are getting are interested in your subject matter. There is a company that you can get keyword targeted traffic from and they let you try their service for free for 7 days. I managed to get over 300 targeted visitors to day to my website. http://trck.be/1SU

    I’ve received several of these; each time, the name (in this case Britney) has just been changed. I’ve deleted the rest of them, but kept this one – if any WordPress advisor wants to see a screenshot of it, just tell me and I can send it.,

    Anyway, I didn’t want to start emailing the company in case huge arguments got involved, so I’d like to know if there’s anything I can do about this – if any WordPress engineers can help, I’d love to hear your advice!

    Hi,

    I too have a problem with Spam comments.

    I’m getting like a dozen or more emails every day requesting I moderate spam comments put on my blog.

    Can I do something to avoid this?
