  Getting a lot of comments that are obviously spam. How to eliminate that?

  If they are in the Spam comments, Akismet did his job well. If not, mark them as spam so the system learns to recognize those comments as spam.

  Unfortunately each Spam comes from a new person, seeing no repeat offenders.

  That doesn’t matter. Our spam filter looks at various factors, including the name, email address and IP address of the commenter, but also at the content of the comments themselves. As long as you consistently mark spam comments as spam, our filters will learn to recognise more comments like that, and will be able to filter them automatically in future.
