Spam Comments not caught

I have one very specific blog that was written nearly a year ago that has very recently begun to accumulate spam comments; sometimes upwards of ten a day.
My spam filter says it has caught nearly 12k comments but still many keep slipping through… but ONLY on this one blog.

Howdy. If you find that spam comments have gotten through the filter, I highly recommend adding those email addresses to your blacklist. You may also want to add rules for comment moderation. This will help keep spam from being published on your blog:

Also, as the blog was written a year ago, if you wish, you can also turn off the comments altogether. The blog can stay live, but you won’t get bombed by spam marketing.
After you take any or all of the above actions, can you let me know if you’re still finding spam slipping through?
Akismet “learns” from the actions you take on your blog. If you get spam comments, mark them as spam (do not delete), and over time Akismet, will learn it’s spam and will keep it from publishing on your site.
