Spam detector too strict ??????
-
I have had my blog for over 6 months and not 1 comment from a guest. It seems that the spam detector is too strict. I am getting search terms from visitors that reflect my topic themes. Is this happening to anyone else?
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Akismet is extremely accurate but I’ll have Staff take a look at your blog. I tagged this thread for their assistance. Please subscribe to it so you are notified when they respond.

The only comments I see approved on your blog is the two comments you yourself posted. In one of those comments you posted a email address in a format that guarantees that it will be collected by email harvesting spam bots. I strongly recommend removing it immediately. WordPress.com provides a secure contact form we can use so this does not happen. http://en.support.wordpress.com/contact-form/

Also visitors do not mean comments – I have between 2,000 & 4,000 visitors per comment – other sites have more comments – the ratio depends on the web site

Hi there Lisa,
Any comments that get spammed will be available in your spam folder:
https://lisalatimer.wordpress.com/wp-admin/edit-comments.phpAfter 15 days they are removed. If they don’t appear there, they are not being added to your blog in the first place.
If you have further issues with spam, please contact:
