Spam Email Sign Up

    Hi, recently I have received loads of, I assume, spam sign ups to my blog and I wondered if there was anything I could do about it. The sort of addresses I am getting are (email visible only to moderators and staff), (email visible only to moderators and staff), (email visible only to moderators and staff). Usually a load of random letters followed by the domain. I seem to be getting more and more each day and I’m pretty sure that they don’t belong to any parents at the school. Have you got any thoughts or suggestions on how I could stop this? many thanks.

    Hi there, it is possible for spammers to follow your blog, although it isn’t something you need to worry about.

    Pretty much the only thing they have to gain by following you is getting you to visit or follow their blog through the notification email.

    If those followers have blogs that contain spam content, please report it following this guide: http://en.support.wordpress.com/report-blogs/
