Spam Gravatars
-
Hi. We’ve dealt with fake followers using outlook email addresses. They cause no harm to our blogs and I’ve learned how to eliminate them in the event Word Press does not catch them first. We’re dealing with comment spammers posting “what” to every comment on a post. They haven’t caused harm because their comments go into spam. In other words, the games played have not been seen by the public. This time is different.
About an hour ago, I received notifications of likes to comments on my blog. I did not see how extensive it was at first, and who would think that such people would take time to open Gravatar accounts? This is a concern because blog administrators cannot undo the “likes,” and the handles are an embarrassment.
I’m unsure if this should be reported directly to Gravatar or not, but since I’ve not been the only Word Press blogger to experience the previous attacks, others might have the same problem. Any reference on how to handle this might be good to have on a Word Press forum.
The Gravatar names and their associated handles are;

http://en.gravatar.com/irene50252; id9627615.fjywv.xyzIt would be good to have “likes” from these accounts removed from my blog. If I have to temporarily disengage the “like” function for comments on my blog, I will do so until this is resolved. Thanks.
The blog I need help with is: (visible only to logged in users)

Hi there, there is already a thread on this issue. I would suggest posting the above to that thread: https://en.forums.wordpress.com/topic/xyz-like-spam-is-back/
