Spam in a link in my blog
-
How do I delete someone’s link that’s on my blog, which, if clicked on leads to an undesirable site?
-
You can go to your Dashboard and then click Comments and click on the Spam button. That will then send it to Akismet where you can finally delete it there. If it wasn’t spam but just someone whos comment you want deleted, then you would click Delete. Clicking Spam will teach Akismet what is spam and what is a real comment.

Thanks so much for the prompt response. Perhaps my question is not as clear as it should be. The problem I have has not to do with a comment, but what I think is called a ‘ping’. It appears at the bottom of my screen (my right). It appears under ‘incoming links’. I clicked on the link to find that it leads to a rather undesirable site, though may not exactly come under porn.

You have no control over links to you from other sites. If it’s not a pingback and does not appear as a comment, no one reading your blog can see it or have the option to click on it.
You could try contacting the owner of the other site and asking for the link to be removed.

Thank you. It’s a relief to know that the incoming link will not be visible to those who read the blog.

Although the incoming link will not be visible to your readers on your blog it will be found at Technorati and in Google’s cache.
