spam in “referrers” section

In my section of my stats where it shows who has referred people to my page I am getting a lot of spam sites. I’m not sure why, and I’m not even sure if I should be worried. Shouldn’t spammers be putting things on my page to refer people away, not the other way around? The volume of spam referrers per day has been increasing over the past few weeks or I would probably just ignore it.
Is this something I should be worrying about? why is this happening, ow does it even make them money?

There are dozens and dozens of threads about this. It’s a new kind of spam. Copy the URLs and report them to staff. They’ll remove them from your referrers.
People do this so you click on the link to see where they linked to you.
